Employee Spotlight: Berenice Maturin, RN

With almost a year of experience working with the hospice team, Berenice has made a significant impact on both patients and their families. Her favorite part of the job is creating a comforting and caring environment for patients in their final stage of life.

She finds immense fulfillment in ensuring that families know their loved ones are receiving the best possible care. Berenice’s passion for hospice care stems from the profound connections she forms with each patient. She cherishes the stories they share and delights in learning about the vibrant lives they led.

She states, “It’s really amazing to learn who each patient was when they were young and what exciting adventures they went on.”

Berenice’s warm and caring nature leaves a lasting impact on all those she encounters, making her a valuable asset to the hospice team. Beyond her role as a hospice nurse, Berenice is a devoted wife and mother to two boys. When she’s not at work, she enjoys unwinding with a good book and spending quality time with her family.

Summer days are often filled with watching baseball games as a family and creating cherished memories together. Despite her busy schedule, Berenice is committed to her personal growth and is on the path to pursuing a master’s degree. Her dedication to continuous learning reflects her unwavering commitment to providing the best possible care to her patients.
