Meet the Nursing Home Leadership Team

At Coon Memorial Nursing Home, our staff concentrates on giving the residents the support and assistance they need. The nursing home is lucky to have a talented and dedicated team of caring professionals who work together to meet and exceed the needs of our residents. We would like to introduce the three individuals in charge of leading the nursing home staff and caring for the residents.

Heather Schriber, Long-Term Care Director: As long-term care director, Heather oversees Coon Memorial Nursing Home and Legacy Assisted Living. She treats each of her staff and residents like family and has been working at the nursing home for 4.5 years. She has been in healthcare for 17 years and has stated that her favorite part of her job is getting to know all of her residents and employees.

“The nursing home is a welcoming environment full of happiness,” Heather said. “We have compassionate staff who enjoy providing care to our residents.”

(L-R) Jessica Smith, Heather Schriber, Pamela Clifton, RN DON

Pamela Clifton, RN DON, Director of Senior Clinical Services: Pamela oversees all of the nursing care provided at Coon Memorial Nursing Home. She has been working here for almost two years, with over 30 years of nursing experience in home health, cardiac case management, assisted living care, primary care, dermatology care, emergency nursing care, hospice and more.

“I am really enjoying working in Dalhart,” Pamela said. “This is a great group of people to work with, and I love all my residents. The nursing home has a home-like atmosphere with a staff that truly cares and treats them all like family.”

Jessica Smith, Nursing Facility Coordinator: Since 2012, Jessica has been working at Coon Memorial Nursing Home. As the facility coordinator, she ensures things run smoothly each and every day. She is the first face that will greet you when visiting the nursing home and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has been a CNA since 2002 and has almost 20 years of experience working in long term care and skilled nursing. She stated she feels blessed that she has worked at DHCHD for a significant part of her adult life and is thankful the district has been a constant in her life.

“Our nursing home has some of the most compassionate and dedicated employees that I have ever had the pleasure of working with,” said Jessica. “We are taught to treat our residents like they are our own grandparents, and this staff actually practices what it preaches. From the office staff to the housekeepers, we take pride in the work that we do.”

As you can see, our leadership team is made up of talented and passionate caregivers who are dedicated to caring for the nursing home residents. Together they lead a team of 45 individuals who perform the 24-hour nursing care and daily activities for the residents.
