DHCHD Announces New CEO

Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District is excited to announce Kacey Schniederjan as the new CEO, starting January 1st, 2022. Schniederjan has been serving as Assistant CEO (ACEO) for the past year under Loree Tamayo, CEO.

“When Kacey started as HR assistant within a week I realized she was something special.  I promoted her to HR Director and as I worked with her I kept being impressed with her kind heart, determination, intelligence, and people skills. When I realized that I was going to need to transition out I thought of her for the CEO position and felt she could be successful in the role.  I was worried about her youth and newness to healthcare, but Kacey quickly showed me that she is a quick learner and that all her other attributes overshadowed any concerns that I may have had.  I proposed her to the board and after they interviewed her they were sold.  As I have worked with her as ACEO I have been so proud of her performance, strength, and determination.  The board and community leaders have expressed to me how impressed they are with Kacey and the job she is doing.  I can say without hesitation that the hospital district is in great hands with Kacey as CEO, said Loree Tamayo, CEO.”

“I have fallen in love with this community and the team of people I work alongside each day. I strive to serve both to the best of my ability each day. I hope to continue the legacy that I have been left, and continue to expand on the District, all with the goal of giving the best care possible in this community. All of this is only possible because of our incredible employees, which I have learned so much from. It is the people that work here that make me truly thankful to be in the role I am. The outstanding care and compassion they show to patients is what drives my passion for rural healthcare. It’s an honor to work alongside them. When I was HR Director I discovered my passion for healthcare, coming from a background in agriculture I can only give credit to God for leading me to this career. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve DHCHD as CEO, said Kacey Schniederjan, ACEO.”
