DHCHD to Host Healthy Kids Day May 16

DALHART, TEXAS – A free family-friendly event will take place on May 16, 2023, at the courtyard at Coon Memorial Nursing Home from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The event aims to promote healthy living among children and families and introduce local healthcare providers to the public.

The event will feature a variety of fun activities for kids, including a bouncy house, face painting, a petting zoo, free snacks, and other exciting activities. Families can enjoy an afternoon filled with fun while learning about the importance of healthy living and how healthcare providers can help them achieve their health goals.

The event is sponsored by Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District and is open to the public. It is designed to encourage families to make healthy choices and to highlight the importance of regular check-ups and preventative care.

“This event is a great opportunity to get kids excited about healthy living and to introduce them to the healthcare providers in Dalhart in a fun and engaging way,” said Michelle Macha, DHCHD Marketing Director. “We want families to know that we are here to support them in their efforts to lead healthy lives, and we hope that this event will help us to do just that.”

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the event with their children and to take advantage of the opportunity to meet with healthcare providers and learn more about the services they offer. New patient forms will be available during the event for those who wish to establish care with a provider.
