DHCHD COVID-19 Update 4/4/20 POSITIVE CASE

Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District has received a POSITIVE COVID-19 test result for a patient in our community residing in Dallam County. This person was tested outside of our district, and county officials were contacted.

There will be an investigation as to who the patient had contact with and those individuals will be privately contacted. As for the rest of the community, it is more important now than ever to be strictly social distancing, staying home, washing your hands and disinfecting.

Under no circumstances will DHCHD violate patient privacy laws; we will not release patient information. Please do not ask DHCHD employees to release patient information, or call to ask. There will be a no-tolerance policy for harassment of staff or disrespectful social media comments. Staff harassment will be reported to the authorities, and disrespectful comments will be deleted.

Finally, we would like to thank the community for your generosity and prayers during this time. Please be safe and stay well.

DHCHD will be updating the public on changes within our District via KXIT Radio at 94.5 FM, and our Facebook page @coonmemorial, tune in or follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.
