DHCHD Announces New Marketing, Human Resources Directors

DALHART, TEXAS – Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District is pleased to welcome Michelle Macha as Marketing Director and Chelsie Thelander as Director of Human Resources.

Macha joins DHCHD with eight years of marketing and communications experience within the information technology, agriculture and non-profit industries. She and her family have lived in Dalhart since 2018, and she most recently served as marketing and communications coordinator for Western Equipment, LLC. In addition to serving as the marketing and media contact for DHCHD, Macha will also be responsible for all grant requests and awards for the hospital district.

“Michelle’s skills in marketing, graphic design, event planning and grant writing made her a great match for the hospital district,” DHCHD CEO Kacey Schniederjan said. “We have big things coming for DHCHD, and we are thrilled to have her on board to communicate these opportunities with our community.”

Thelander brings five years of hospital and healthcare HR experience to DHCHD. She recently relocated to Dalhart from Irving, Texas. A vital member of the staff, Thelander will oversee DHCHD’s HR systems, handle employee relations and assess staffing needs, ensure compliance with regulations, and execute training programs.

“With over 250 employees at the hospital district, Chelsie is a crucial part of our team,” Schniederjan said. “Her prior experience made her the ideal candidate for this position. I look forward to seeing the positive impact I know she will have on DHCHD’s current and future employees.”
