Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District has received its 2nd POSITIVE COVID-19 test result for a patient in our community residing in Dallam County.

County officials and Emergency Management investigated how COVID -19 was contracted and whom the patient had contact with. The investigation concluded that this was a work-related spread outside of Dallam and Hartley Counties. The patient was tested in Amarillo and was sent home to self-quarantine immediately after the test was administered, the family members have also been in self-quarantine and will continue to be. Currently, the patient is in a stable condition. The patient had minimal contact to our community. County officials and Emergency Management are providing for the family and monitoring the quarantine. The DHCHD medical team will assist with the medical needs of the family during the quarantine. We will keep the community updated on the status of the patient and family.
